2. Guaranteed Maximum Price for Elementary School "W"

Minutes: The Elementary "W" school site is located on the east side of Oakleaf and will house Grades K-5.  The total GMP was presented at $22,688,707.  Jim Connell, Director of Facility Planning & Construction briefly reviewed the floor plan.  The cost per square foot is $177.55.  Once approved, actual construction will begin in two weeks, with a planned opening date of August 2008.  The school is planned for 862 permanent student stations and prep work for 16 portable sites.  The student enrollment is projected at 914.  Mr. Bolla expressed concern about the district's inability to build a school with no portables.  Mr. Elliott explained the guidelines set forth in Clay's Educational Facilities Plan.

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price proposal for Elementary School “W” dated March 8, 2007 from Skanska USA Building Inc. Upon the approval of the GMP proposal, this document becomes part of the Construction Manager At-Risk agreement for the project.	- PASS
